Can somone let me know what the pain is like after breast augmentation? |
i have very little pain barrier and just want to know how any one couped with this I have seen many augmentation procedures on TV, and know every ones experience is different, from horribly painful to not at all. I can't remember the name of the show but the doctors name is Dr. Ray, he's in Beverly Hills. He specializes in augmentations and he goes in through the bellybutton, his patients all range from very painful recovery to not so bad. His technique where he uses a long tool and jabs through all the fat and tissue in between the muscle and skin, from the bellybutton to the breastpocket. Is more painful post-op then if they insert the implant close to the pocket, because of all the trauma loosening the skin up from the muscle on your entire abdomen. He swears by it though because there will never be a scar, the bellybutton is the incision site. Anyway on those shows some people have a very high pain threshold and others don't. I bet the ones who have given birth are the ones who for sure don't consider it to be that bad. Goodluck!! Just think; the pain will go away, the boobies are here to stay! Same as after any surgery - pain around the wound site, muscle soreness etc etc. No-one needs to have breast augmentation. Save your money for something REALLY important. Like paying your bills ... It hurts just the same as any other operation and it can last for a long time. First of all, it's not as bad as it sounds. I am 3 years post op and wouldn't regret it for a second. Like any surgery there is going to be pain. Your doctor will set you up on a good pain regimen to meet your exact needs. The most pain I felt was when I tried to sit straight because the skin would pull tight. Also, trying to get comfortable when you rest is difficult. Try pillows under your knees and almost sit up with pillows. That will eliminate pain when getting out of bed, you won't have to work so hard. I had my incision under the arm so I couldn't use my arms as much over those 3 weeks, but now there is no scar. i had my breast augmentation on Tuesday and was back to work on Thursday. Very little pain for me......but everyone is different.!!!! but i can honestly say i was very surprised that i bounced back so soon. WELL I GOT MINE DONE ON THE MONDAY AND I WAS OUT DRINKING ON THE FRIDAY WITH MY SPORTS BRA ON - ITS NOT REALLY PAIN - ITS JUST HEAVY AND UNCOMFORTABLE NOT PAIN THOUGH - SO GO FOR IT XXXXXXXXXX i don't know from personal experience, but i would think the same as any surgery. pain around the wound site. I would think your breast would feel different too,sort of full and heavy. |
