Research paper on breast cancer. thesis suggestions?

i chose it because i can relate to it personally (two people in my family have died from it) and i know a lot about it... but i can't figure out what a good thesis would be. the paper has to be 5-10 pages long, so i need something i can find a lot of information on... anything will help!!!

1)the various types of breast cancer

2)which part of the breast is more likely to have cancer in it or

3)lifestyle choices that might cause breast cancer

Having to do a 20 page paper last semester, pinpointing a topic was the most difficult part for me!

One topic you might consider is the research findings that bras contribute to women getting breast cancer. I just read an interesting article on this topic here: http://www.womans-health.net/mamography-... All of us women know how uncomfortable and annoying bras can be, especially after a 12-hour work day or those pesky bra straps that just won鈥檛 stay up; however, recent studies have concluded that bras could be a contributing factor to breast cancer because they prevent the natural lymphatic circulation.

Another topic to give some thought to is the hazards and lack of reliability of mammograms. You can find a very intriguing article on this topic here: http://www.womans-health.net/mamography-... While most women take comfort in having a regular mammogram, many don鈥檛 realize the dangers such as risks of radiation and the increased chances of cancer due to the breast compression while having a mammogram.

With a little research and the above articles, you should be able to find information on either topic.

Hopefully this helps!

check out this research group ....they have a message board you can use to ask questions .......http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/
