Why do women get breast cancer?

okay. i'm not being gross or stupid. but why do women get breast cancer? is it the fat thats in the breast tissue? and yes, i know guys can get it too. but why such a higher precentage in women?

It seems that estrogen has a lot to do with most breast cancers. genetics (heredity) and we don't know what else.

I'm assuming that, because birth control pills slightly raise your risk of getting breast cancer, it has to do with the amount of estrogen in your body that influences breast cancer in women.

Still, no one knows why some people get breast cancer and others don't.

Cuz they delay child birth and use breasts as sexual organ only,forgetting that their main purpose is to feed a baby.it is a modern day phenamenon.still in developing/religious socities breast cancer is very.very low compare to western culture.

Estrogen?
I do know that dairy causes a significant increase in getting cancers, such as the breast, because it has hormones and thus catalyzes the reactions that promotes cancerous cells.

there are many reasons why females get breast cancer...
i no a friends mom who had breast cancer and she got it from getting too much stress...but luckily she got it removed
