Breast Cancer, Zoladex (Goserelin) is good or not? |
Hi everybody, I think that sounds extreme. Shutting down the ovaries just throws the endocrine system into imbalance. She doesn't need to completely block the estrogens in her body (and yes, there is more than one "estrogen". it's not just one hormone, it is a family of hormones). What she needs to do is make sure it's balanced with her other hormones. And that the primary estrogens in her body are the healthier, weaker estrogens. She also needs to make sure that she is producing or getting enough progesterone. |
