What does agressive breast cancer look like?

Well, usually it isn鈥檛 something you can see with the naked eye. It is most often seen on a cellular level and after looking at hundreds of breast tumors 98% of the time I still have no idea what I鈥檓 looking at. Only pathologists get excited over those things.

There is a rare form of breast cancer called inflammatory breast cancer and patients can often see changes in their breast with this type. It sort of takes on the appearance of an infection. The breast will often become swollen, warm to the touch, it may turn kind of reddish and part or all of the skin may resemble an orange peel. Other than that I can鈥檛 think of anything else.

If you are referring to a tumor that breaks through the skin that is more of a sign of advanced disease than it is aggressiveness.

Also breast cancer is never a mass that grows on the skin.

Breast cancer, like many other cancers can take many forms, the usual symptom is a lump under the skin or a mass that grows on the skin.
