Is it okey to be pregnant even if i have a breast cancer? |
Is it okey to be pregnant even if i have a breast cancer? A neighbor of mine was diagnosed wit breast cancer while she was pregnant with her son. She didn't get chemotherapy for fear that it would hurt the baby. By the time she had the boy her cancer had advanced to far for the doctors to help her. She died a year after he was born. So no I don't think it'd ok to get pregnant knowing you have breast cancer. Pregnant women who develop breast cancer do not have worse odds of death or of cancer returning than other young breast cancer patients, a new study says. The treatment (if you are doing it or planning to) might harm the baby. But only a small % of children inherit brest cancer. I think around 80% of people get it and have no family history of breast cancer. When I said around I really do mean around. I don't know the exact %. Chemo and pregnancy do not go together. If you are detected early take the treatment as the treatment is usually successful... have a child later... If you have some concerns save some eggs. No. That is a question for your doctor, not yahoos. |
