Male breast cancer possible?

Ok, so I was taking a shower, and noticed my left nipple was kind of hard and hurt when I touched it, I pinched it and noticed something hard and lumpy about half an inch deep, it is not the same on the other nipple, should I get this checked out? It hurts kind of.
I am a 16 year old male.

Most breast lumps in males are a condition called gynaecomastia, a button-like growth under the nipple and areola area that can be felt and is sometimes visible to the naked eye. Occasionally it can be quite tender.

This increase in the amount of breast tissue is not a tumour and occurs due to changes in hormone balances at times like adolescence - that is, at your age.

This is very likely what you have; you should see your doctor for reassurance.

The chances of a 16 year old male getting breast cancer are as close to zero as makes no difference.

Men do get breast cancer, but fewer than 1% of those diagnosed with breast cancer are male.

And 80% of all people diagnosed with cancer are over 50; most men diagnosed with it are over 60.

It's rare in women under 40, extremely rare in women under 30, and almost unheard of in under 20s.

So you can see how huge the odds against a 16 year old male getting breast cancer are.

Men do get breast cancer, generally over age 50.

Early breast cancer is rarely painful or tender.

Breast cancer is almost unheard of even in a woman your age, the chance of this being breast cancer is virtually nil.

However, something is unusual and needs to be checked. Just because it isn't cancer doesn't mean it shouldn't be treated.

Only a Dr can diagnose.

most breast cancer recipents are females but theres about 2% of males that can also have breast cancer.. you are pretty young to be that worried about something like that UNLESS you have breast cancer history in your family... usually breast lumps are on the actually breast not the nipple and it would have to be a hard non-movable mass--- more than likely your fine... but next time you see your primary care doctor bring that up to him!!

Breast cancer isn't limited to women. About 1,000 or so males in the U.S. gets breast cancer every year. If you notice something abnormal with your body, you should definitely get it checked out, or at least wait a while first (an hour to a week) and if the lump is still there, make an appointment with your doctor.

Yes, it is possible for males to get breast cancer, but it is rare.

Yes, you should get it checked out by a doctor. It is probably a cyst or a glandular thing at your age.

Breast cancer for a woman under the age of 20 is EXTREMELY rare.
If a male were to get breast cancer it would be over the age of 45.
The cancer you have cancer at your is slim to none.

it is very very rare in males and mostly this will be just normal ,maybe u was hit in that place and u forgot about it ,anyway if u are so worried do an xRay and read more about that here http://breastcancerdestroyer.blogspot.co...

Do you have man boobs? This is a serious question because men who are overweight and have man boobs can get breast cancer. Go to a doctor and get it checked out.

Yes it is possible. I would recommend that you get it checked out or could be that you have sensitive nipples because of male hormones.

Yes see a doctor, it probably is nothing but men do get breast cancer. Small cysts are common and harmless but since yours is very sensitive better to be safe.

Yes it is possible. I say wait a couple of days to see if it goes away. Maybe 4-6 days. If doesn't start swelling down and still hurts I say go...
