Can you still have Chemotherapy in Stage 4 Breast Cancer?

I have a friend who is still getting chemo therapy at (allegedly) stage 4 of breast cancer. She says that it has (allegedly) spread to her bones but not any vital organs but she still works. Does this sound like stage 4? Can you still get Chemotherapy in Stage 4 breast cancer?

i hate to sound doubtful but at times she can make things seem a lot more than it is...i have learned that in our relationship

With luck one of the medical professionals who answer questions on here will be along to answer in detail; meanwhile I can tell you that I know someone with breast cancer who has had chemotherapy more than once since spread to the bones was diagnosed eight years ago.

Her bone secondaries are much less widespread than they were when she was diagnosed, thanks to the treatments she has had.

Another friend who had had stage one breast cancer and had surgery but not chemotherapy was diagnosed with bone metastasis and began chemotherapy almost immediately.

Breast cancer that's spread to the bones isn't considered curable, but it can be managed, sometimes for years.

Why do you doubt your friend's word?

most people with cancer would not make up what they are going through . Most wish that they wher not. Sad that you think this but I'm sure she is going through more then you can ever imagine She needs support not doubt shame shame

Yes, you totally can, and you can totally still work, and why do you have reason to doubt her?!?!?!
