What are the chances of me getting breast cancer?


my grandma had breast cancer then both of my aunts had breast cancer. my mom is worried she might get it someday so she get s frequent checkups. so what do u think the chances are for me to get it? im really worried!

Grandma and aunts are considered 2nd degree relations. They are 1st degree relations to your mother, increasing her risk factor, but not considered a major increase your risk, particularly if they were over 40 when diagnosed.

There are no hard fast rules, so, please try not to worry,as there is nothing worse than worry for causing ill health.I am not trying to make light of it ,as i lost my wife with it last year. HER sister had it 6 years ago and is still doing fine.Check your body each day, that is the best way to catch it early,is the advice we have given our daughters.

they are high specially if the gene responsible is BRCA-1 and 2 genes
