How does weight gain/loss affect the size of breasts after tram flap breast reconstruction?
This is an excellent question! I wish I had an accurate answer for you. You would need to speak with other women who have had a TRAM flap reconstruction. In a way, it would make sense due to the relocation of a fat tissue from the abdomen to the breast area that weight gain could increase the size of the reconstructed breast and vice versa, however due to the way people scar, etc. and the extent of the flap it is possible that significant changes in weight gain or loss could make the breasts appear to be different sizes due to the post-surgical changes of the TRAM breast. Good luck - and congrats on being a survivor.
