Yes the breast reconstruction is my situation, and my confidence is shot......even going thru a divorce now...

just wanted to know how the men out there feel and could they get past it. I know Im lucky to be alive and thank God everyday, but it's hard to think of yourself as desirable looking like this. Thanks everyone..........

Don't get too caught into this....I'm sure it's a very stressful time for you but trust me, most guys won't even think taking a second thought about your situation as far as being attracted to you.

Some guys are 'boob' men but when it comes right down to it at a physical level, most guys (including myself) focus a little 'lower' on the female anatomy :P

Sorry about the divorce.....keep your spirits up and remember that a lot of guys are out there and can't wait to meat you!!!

i myself do not really care what my partner looks like. i am more intrested in the personality. thats the most important. the looks and body means nothing. i'm seeing a girl that has something along the same deal is yours. she feels the same as you. it's really not as bad as you think. it doesnt have the effect that you think it does.

stop feeling sorry 4 urself. u have a 2nd chance at life and ur worried about what ur boobs look like? b 4 real. u need 2 join a group of women who've been thru what ur going thru. they can relate and help u understand ur depression and how long it takes 2 adjust 2 ur new appearance. I've had scarred breasts from surgeries since I was 15. I'm 35 now, have been married twice, had numerous bf's and 2 beautiful children. Scarring never slowed me down. My confidence let me get thru and acceptance. This is who I am, luv me or don't, I luv me and that's enuf (words 2 live by). Good luck.

your personality it what matters, and how you feel about your self. When your older his looks will fade and your looks will fade. It's personality and the caring that will get you through the other times. I've been married 22 yrs. and We've seen good looking couples get divorced and I've heard my husband say looks do not hold a marriage or relationship together. seek counseling and start to feel good about yourself you've got alot to offer someone.

I'can't say Ive been there but I am a woman and I want you to know that you are loved whatever situation life has thrown you. God has given you the strength to face today and tomorrows challenges so just wait on Him, rest in Him, count on Him and wait patiently on Him. You are precious in His sight and I know there are others around you that love you too. Now for that wicked confidence- just a device to bring you down so get yourself some help - christan counseling or just confiding in a friend - just let it out- is sometimes enough.
