Breast reduction surgery!?

I am 5 4, 128 lbs and wear a size 32-34 double d. I have really bad back pains and bad posture. My breasts are way to big for my size i think... I went to the doctor a while ago to see if this procedure would be good for me... he said yes but usually he does this to women who are size triple e.. it was kind of discouraging. I am also worried about the scarring, how is it?? Do your breasts look deformed or weird after the surgery and what is the outcome? I am looking into going down to a full b cup... i am just sick of having big boobs. please some advice!! (pref from women who have had this procedure done) thank u.

Scarring is not bad at ALL! A good PS and a good patient as well as Mederma and Scarguard after your incisions are closed will help lighten them. My scars are barely noticeable with my reduction.

Heya

I personally wouldnt do it. Double D is a good size to be. Your lucky. =] As for the back ache try a more suportive bra or some pain killers. =] xxx

i haven't had the procedure but i work for plastic surgeons that do them all the time.

it's quite a popular procedure and lots of women have back and shoulder pain because their breasts are heavy.

i have to add that if you're thinking about the operation because your breasts are sagging/drooping, a breast reduction won't make any difference. lots of women come to us thinking it's the same procedure but it's not - for that you'd need a mastopexy (an uplift).

so, if we're still on the topic of breast reduction, i'll say that obviously there will be scarring - you'll have less scarring than a lot of women because you're not THAT huge to start with. everyone's outcome is different though and it depends what your breasts look like to begin with.
as long as you go with a good, reputable, registered surgeon, everything will be fine; they won't look weird or deformed, just smaller!
another thing to check - in the meantime, if you're still considering surgery - is your actual bra size. you may be wearing the wrong size and not even realise. i'm guessing you're in usa and i have no idea what the good shops are there for underwear but go to one of the big ones and get measured for a good supportive bra.

hope i've been of some help. good luck!
