If I get a breast reduction? |
Is it true that if a woman gets a breast reduction, she cannot breastfeed? Wait until you are done having kids...when you get prego your breasts swell and can "undo" the nice perkey breasts that the Dr has made for you...if they have to move your nipple, there is a possibility that you won't physically be able to breast feed.... Depending on the quality of work the PS does, becoming pregnant after a reduction does not always "undo" your breasts and how they look. Report Abuse My aunt had one, and pumped for over a week after her twins were born, but could not stimulate her milk to come in. It IS possible to breastfeed after a reduction, but if it's really important to you, you may want to wait, or at least seriously consider the pros and cons. my mom got breast reduction and the doctors told her that there was a chance you couldnt breastfeed but there then obviously is a chance that you still could. so it probably depends on your body, have a doctor check it out. NO it is not true. Women can and do breastfeed after a reduction. Breastfeeding After Breast Reduction Surgery If they move the nipple there is a chance they will cut too many milk ducts to make it possible to nurse a child in the future. it depends on how they do it.. there is a way they can do it to where you can breast feed.. you will get no dates!!!! send me a picture and i will give you my professional opinion mahoffman_cards@yahoo.com. |
