Should i get a breast reduction???

i'm 16 years old and i have dd breast............they hurt my back so bad and i just can't take it anymore...and it makes it even worse cause i'm like a size 5............yeah my breast don't even fit me.........buy back really kills me and it interferes with everything???? so sound i get one??

and tell me the pro and cons of getting a breast reduction and also the risks...thanks.

Pros = everything!

I'm serious. I went from a 38J to a 38C Feb 2006 and don't regret it one bit. I'd do it again if I had to!

Some will say you cannot get a reduction done at your age. I say BALONEY! Many young girls get breast reductions. Its just that some PS's are leery about it since you are not done growing yet, but there ARE exceptions (see the link in my sources) and you can get it done if its affecting you like it sounds.

Hey. A BR is something you could consider. However you might also consider waiting until you are a bit older until you have stopped growing. At the age of 16 you will probably have a fair bit of growing left!
A pro to having the reduction is that it should reduce your back pain, make playing sports easier, and find clothes to fit you properly!
Its a good idea to speak to your Doctor about it, and you could even speak to a Plastic Surgeon who specialises in BR surgery. These days a good surgeon will be able to preserve your ability to breast feed and to have feeling in your breasts and nipples.
Like someone else suggested i would visit a good Underwear store and get a professional fititng and proper fitting bra (if you havn't already done so!) in the meantime it might help a bit. BUT in the long run, a bra wont solve the problem.
As with ANY surgery there are risks involved with a BR. You will also be left with some scaring that will mostly fade over time.

I have an aunt who deals with this almost everyday. She is a professional fitter at an upscale department store in Milwaukee and she talks to all the women at family gatherings. My sister coerced me into sitting with her a couple times after our mom got breast cancer. I learned a lot. My sis hates computers so she dumped it on me to learn as much as I could about womens health.

Number one, go to an upscale place and be prepared to be told you are wearing the WRONG underwear.
Also be prepared to spend $50 or more for one that fits properly. You will not believe the difference in how you feel. Many women have come back to my aunt and told her they were amazed by how much better they feel.

You can even check this out online at youtube. I think it was Tyra Banks who had a fitter on the show one time.

Please try that before surgery. Some women have complications from surgery, it should be a last resort.

If you think it would make you feel better than go for it...my friend had the same problem but the pains went away after a lil while so she did not do the procedure...also if you think your breasts do not fit you...you should go for it...GOOD LUCK !!!
