I want to get a breast reduction surgery (36 E) but I'm scared. What should I do?

I've tried losing weight but nothing works. They are too big but I'm scared of surgery. I also get too much attention from guys. Some people think I should keep them but I think their too big. Any advice?

Grad Gurl :), Last year my step mom underwent a breast reduction operation and the results look really good so far. In my state a there are certain plastic surgeons that are better than others. I'd consult plastic surgeons in your area and see what they have to offer. http://www.plasticcosmeticsurgerycenter.... A local cosmetic surgeon should be able to answer your questions.

As a guy whose wife had reduction surgery, I would hope that your doing it because of your comfort level and personal desire. My wife was having serious back and neck pain due to her breast, she really is very happy with her new breast,(36 C), although I miss playing with her huge breast, I still love her dearly and I am happy that she feels better about herself. I really understand your fear of the surgery and I would be kidding you if I said that she did not go through a week of pain, but if you have someone to assist you, you will make it just fine. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Actually, back pain is never directly caused by breasts. Notice that males have statistically more back problems than females, because a) males usually do more physical labor and b) males build fat on their stomach.

When being trained to do any heavy lifting, you are told to use your knees, and hold all the weight to your chest, not your stomach. female's breasts rarely equal a fat guys stomach.

big breasts may cause back problems indirectly (wrong bra size, bad posture, ect), but the breasts themselves rarely do.

Why do people say you should keep them? Because of attention from guys? If you find a guy who likes you just because of the breast size I wouldn't want him anyway.

Aside from that, you should talk to your doctor about the benefits of breast reduction surgery. I have a friend who had really large breasts, and she had them reduced in her mid-twenties because she feared some intense back problems down the road. She likes the new size much better...they are still bigger than mine, lol, but they are more proportioned to her body, and she is not as worried of having back problems down the road.

If they are hindering your quality of life then definitely you should do something about it. Life is too short to be unhappy.

There is a website for women with large breasts that has information about how to find a good plastic surgeon, what to expect when you go to your first appointment and what questions you should be asking them.

The site is www.living-with-large-breasts.com

Good luck with whichever decision you make!!

I have never regretted my surgery from a 38J to a 38C Feb 2006. Ignore other opinions as it is your body and your health.

FYI I had serious back pain with my J cups. After surgery, my back pain was GONE. Many women who go through this surgery will verify that their back pain disappeared after surgery and feel a whole lot better for it.

Check out the site in my sources, it will help you out a LOT
