I desperately want a breast reduction because i am a like a 40 dd and have lots of back and bra issues..help!?

I really need to get a breast reduction...i think i am a 40 dd, but i may be bigger...no bras have ever really fit me right...its always like i have been an inbetween size..nothing fits perfectly.i either have some of my boob popping out or creases in the bras or my boobs look saggy in certain bras. i also get marks from about any bra i wear. my back hurts constantly and it has ever since i have been a teenager, and i am now 25. my husband has great medical insurance....how would i go about having this covered...how do u convince a doctor or insurance to cover it?

also, my husband wants them to look a certain way, ya know perfect and perky and round but i dont know if thats totally possible...i assume that will be extra right? or do the doctors make them look pretty good after reducing them too.. i mean they dont just leave them flopping do they?

please help me answer the insurance question about how to get it covered and what doctors do in a procedure and how the insurance covers it. thanks so much. :)

Insurance can cover it. It really all depends on how picky your insurance company is. Find out if you need a referral, or can just go to a PS and get a consultation.

A reduction usually includes a lift (if a PS charges you for a lift run away as 99% of doctors have the lift covered with the reduction!).

You need to go to the doctor and get proof saying your breasts are causing extreme pain...also they may only cover a very small portion if any at all. If you get a good surgeon they'll look nice but not necessarily round and perky like breast implants would.

Go to your doctor and explain. Sometimes larger breasts can cause back problems and maybe there is a chance that it would be covered. If not, you may need to pay out of your own pocket.

first off, a good fitting bra is the most important thing, especially with a big chest.
the first step is making a consultation appt with a plastic surgeon. the surgeon will ask you questions and take some pictures. then send everything to the insurance. at that point you will wait to find out if you are approved. every insurance has different criteria
a lift is part of the reduction.
