Ever had breast reduction? maybe u can help? |
how long does it take for the swelling to go down? i had my operation 2 weeks ago, and either my minds going or they aint actually went down much!! i know i'll swell and that but swelling from what was meant to be a c cup to little off my natural size ff is that not lets say just a tad too much?? I hear a lot about women who've had reductions, but didn't think their size went down much. If you were only having a small reduction (like going from a D to a C), you may not notice a big difference right away. I went from something way over a DD (I stopped trying to measure after that) to an average C, and I could tell as soon as I woke up from surgery how small they were, and even though they swelled, they never looked "big" at all. Unfortunately, once your surgery is over, that's that; if the surgeon didn't take enough off, what can you do about it? Yes, it might be swelling, but honestly, swelling does not make your breasts look massive, it just makes them swollen (tight, perky, etc). Once my swelling was gone, my breasts were the same "size" as they were when they were swollen, they were just softer and went back into a normal breast shape. I would consider how much of a reduction you discussed with your surgeon (was he/she SUPPOSED to take off a huge amount?) .. and if you are truly dissatisfied, give them a call. Source(s): Hacked em off in 2005. We'll have to see before and after photos to tell. Patience is key to recovery. It can take up to a YEAR for swelling to disappear entirely. Bring this up to your doctor if you are concerned. But there should be no need to fret as you are only two weeks post op. 38J to 38C Feb 2006 It took my swelling about 3 months to subside and abotu a year to look normal. 2 weeks after my surgery, I felt the same way. I was scared to look at them cause I kept thinking they were still big. Give it a lot of time and let your body heal. I am sure you will be pleased. |
