Are a breast reduction and a breast lift pretty much the same thing?

You know you can get insurance to cover your reduction, right? If you have health issues because of your breasts they will cover it. Mine covered mine 100% and I did not need documentation.

99.9% of the time a lift is included in a reduction. The other 0.1% is just Plastic surgeons looking for more money from you IMO.

A reduction only takes out tissue, whereas a lift LIFTs them up and makes them perkier. Source(s): breast reduction with lift Feb 2006

No! Reduction is making them smaller and lift is making them so they don't sag! Like if u wore a push up bra! :-P

a reduction is reducing(making smaller) your breasts.
a lift is lifting them to where they don't sag.
Nooo....reduction is generally done for women who have too much to the point it gives them back problems. Look up the definitions of "reduction" and "lift."
a breast reduction is for women with really large breast who have problems (back pain etc.) because of them, and a breast lift is for women who have lost shape or "perkiness" due to age/gravity or after having kids to restore them to their "glory days" lol
