Are breast reduction surgeries a good idea? |
For me? I am 18 and a size 32 DD. I find it extremely hard to find clothes that fit, bathing suits that fit, and it hinders me from doing a lot of activities. I'm about to go into college, where I plan on staying active. I've read all about side effects and complications and scarring, etc. What I want to know is if it's all worth it... FOR ME? Because other women have much larger sized breasts and I know they think it's a good idea... so what about me? I think it is an extremely good idea for you. One of my friends did it and she is extremely happy. You should talk to your mother about it! Im pretty sure she will be comprehensive about it! I know it it YOUR decision, but your gonna need your mother to be with you during the surgery (and the healing process), about of course her support. Im sure if you do it you'll be happy with the results. I mean imagine going into the mall and being able to find clothes that fit! Imagine all the new outfits lol. Also it will help you in the future too. Im sure you have back pains, shoulder pains etc. and you probably ach your back alot because of the extra weight in front... When your older you'll be looking like the hunckback from Norte Dame..and we don't want that. So it's benifical for now and the future...Oh not to mention guys they look at your breast instead of your personality...I say go for it Best of wishes in what you decide to do... Shop around and look for the best surgeon...get references..and look at certifications and stuff like that!! well if they are bothering you, i would definitely consider a reduction. a small body frame and large breasts can be very painful on the back. i'm sure it wouldn't do much good for the back either. but if finding clothes is difficult, i would do it. if you get a good doctor, i bet the scarring would be less noticeable. It's a good idea to consider it. My sister's half sister and her friend did this surgery. My sister's friend's insurance company actually paid for it too. It's a good idea to have it done if it causes you pain, especially back pain from having a larger chest. That was why my sister's friend had it done, and why insurance paid because she was short and it was hurting her. Talk to your doctor, and ask them what he/she thinks, and then talk to your insurance company too. If it gives you better peace of mind, I'd say do it. If you tried everything natural like losing weight and seeing if you can lose fat there then I would absolutely get a breast reduction. I haven't met anyone that doesn't say how much better they feel and they all recommend it. Having breasts that are too large hurts your neck, shoulders, and back. other women friends, my doctor. They are an EXCELLENT idea especially if one suffers from back pain and other health issues. I had it done Feb 2006 (38J to 38C) and I do not regret it one bit. I only wish I got it done sooner. It is totally worth it, I am 100% better than I was prior to surgery. Check this out: http://www.breasthealthonline.com... http://www.bfar.org Go for it. But take the time to get a very good plastic surgeon. Be comfortable about the surgeon and his/her office. |
