Breast Reduction (medical reasons)?

Serious answers only please....!!!!! Considering having a breast reduction due to health reasons..I am large breasted and have bad discs at base of spine..had 1 major back op that sadly failed and so now considering this option to take some weight off my back..has anyone else has this done and how was it...or anyone else thinking about it ........???????? and yes i have an appointment with my GP to discuss it further just curious as to other womens views...

I had mine reduced Feb 2006 (38J to 38C) and do not regret it one bit. Insurance covered mine 100% (some insurance companies may be different).

I have a friend who had it done. She was a J cup and now is small enough to not wear a bra. She said it was the best thing she ever did. Her back used to be all hunched over and now isn't. Make sure you get a good plastic surgeon, ask to see his before and after photos, especially look at the nipples on the after pics. My friend apparently didn't get a very good one because her nipples look flat and unnatural. do your homework and visit several docs before you decide on one.
I work in plastic surgery, and see this all of the time each and every woman is happy for that reduction less weight off of her. more comfort and clothes fit better.

i've thought of doing this as well but for posture. if i had the money, i'd do it. if your doc says it could help with your back pain, i'd seriously consider it if i were you. i see nothing wrong with this at all. maybe you should speak with your orthopedist as well. good luck.
Yes I done these with numerous people. All my patients are happy and say its the best thing they have ever done. If you can't afford to have it done I know how to get you help if you are serious about it. I would like to talk to you more about it I'm one of the best out there. I am a mammographer, and I have interacted with countless women who have had reductions and augmentations. I would say about 50% of all implant patients regret their decision to have the surgery. I have yet to meet a post-reduction patient who regrets the surgery! Best wishes to you, and I hope you are able to have this done soon!
