Mine was $8,000 covered entirely by insurance.

I would find at least three PS's covered under your insurance to have a consultation with. Find out if you first need a referral or if you can just go to the PS for the consult.

I had mine done Feb 2006 38J to 38C and don't regret it one bit!

Also, PS's have done reductions on those under 18, but only in the direst of circumstances, where it is affecting them every single day so much that they can't do normal activities. The PS or your doctor will advise you.

You need to see a plastic surgeon and it costs anywhere from $5 000 to $10 000

I hear that they are pretty pricey, and seeing as how it is elective /cosmetic surgery your insurance may not cover it, unless it is causing you medical problems, such as back pain. But prices are going to vary from surgeon to surgeon so you should shop around, get some consultations and find a doctor you are comfortable with.

I would suggest seeing a medical doctor, I'm not positive but if it is effecting your health your medical insurance may cover it. Also if you are under 18 they will not do the surgery because you can regrow breast tissue after the surgery.

It's kind of expensive for breast reduction. First of all, you'll need talk with your doctor. They'll give you advice about beast reduction before you can do anything. If I were you do so.... I don't think the Health insurance will not cover for breast reduction. If I were you to call your health insurance provider and ask them, what's does cover for breast reduction?

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Don't go straight to a Plastic Surgeon, this is pricey so I suggest you got to your obgyn (they will then reffer you to a PS), thats what I did. If you have back pain insurance covers it. I chose not to have it becasue I was told they might grow back since I was 16. I have opted to wait till after I have children since I know of someone who went from a DD down to a small C had a baby and back to a DD.
