Still don't understand why there are women out prefer organic formula for their baby/ies then breastfeeding... |
is way better all around Some people just aren't comfortable with it. I know it's natural and shouldn't be shameful, but some just simply aren't comfortable. I know I tried to breastfeed, but it just didn't work for me. Coupled with having a very busy life, I didn't have time to sit down and pump milk to be ready "just in case". My son was formula fed and he is just fine, even more so, actually. I'll probably not breastfeed my other children either. Sometimes, I feel like if I say I didn't breastfeed my child, it's like I smoked crack during my pregnancy, or I feed my son Ho Hos and other sugary sweets since he was born. I have yet to see an adult person who was raised on formula to be inclined to have problems any more than a child who was breast fed. In this topic, I really think it's up to the mother. There aren't any real pros and cons later in life that say a child has to be formula fed, or breast fed in order to be an active member of society. I wonder how those starving mothers in third world countries manage it. I mean, they most likely don't have four hundred nutrients in their breast milk. Mainly because of all the starving... Does that mean they should try to breast feed even though formula would be better for them in their case just because it's better? I totally agree with you. I am a mom of four breastfed children and I don't know what "organic" formula is!! Breastmilk has over 300 nutrients and formula has only 40!! I just don't understand it at all either. I work at a WIC agency and I am a breastfeeding Peer counselor and I help moms as best as I can. Just because it says "organic" doesn't mean it is better for your baby. Thanks for the topic. Why are you so worried and concerned about it. They don't... it's not your business so leave them alone. Some can't breastfeed, and some may choose to supplement with formula if they go back to work. Lots of reasons. raynaud's syndrome, or child is lactose intolerant. still cant believe there are women out there that are still so bias its not your concern its not your baby its not your decision My mom didn't want her nipples to get all tough, so I was nursed on Bosco and powdered milk. Today I am the pride and joy of the Republican Party. Signed, John McCain. |
