What are my chances of being pregnant 4 months after giving birth while taking birth control and breastfeeding

I gave birth to my third child Dec 2007. I have been breastfeeding up until a couple months ago. I had to give him a little formula when I had to have minor surgery. In the past month I have had to give my baby formula a couple times a day to fill his belly after I nurse him. I started taking Errin birth control about 6 weeks ago. I started it on the day that I started my period, which was my first one since giving birth. On day 5 and 6 of my cycle, my husband and I had unprotected sex. About 2 weeks after we had sex, I had some light bleeding. Nothing to soak a pad, it was mostly a couple times when I wiped after using the toilet. For the past week, I have been tired and even when I get a good night's sleep, I am still tired. My period would normally be due today, but I have not had any bleeding. I had some cramping as if I were going to start, but no bleeding. I also have a sinus headache. Could I be pregnant?

Still no period. This is day 32 of my cycle. Before I was pregnant with my third child, my period came every 29 or 30 days. It wasn't late.

this is the advise i got after having my first, straight after having a baby or misscarrige is a very fetile time. the birth control pill if taking it while breastfeeding will only work till about 50% as you can not take the full amount of the hormone otherwise it is passed to the baby. the chances are very high while breastfeeding. i would take a test, let us know how you go and good luck! congrats on the birth of your little one!

Yes you could you need to test. I know quite a few ladies who had babies and even though they were on birth control, got pregnant with in the first 6 month after having a baby. Test. Good Luck!

its possible. I know they say you're less likely to get pregnant while breastfeeding and on the pill, but things happen. Good luck!
