Any advice on trying to wean a 10 month old from breastfeeding?

Introduce her to a sippy cup. She may find it exciting and it may end up being an easy transition! Best Wishes!

I'm taking a slower approach to weaning, as I am still nurse and night and first thing in the morning. I found that my daughter loves sippy cups, so I leave them places she can find with water, juice, milk in it (she's a few days shy of a year). She seems to know that if I'm not around, she's not going to nurse - so daddy has been taking care of her for the most part since I returned to work. I was very fortunate that she has readily accepted anything I've given her milkwise, otherwise I would be doing a slow transition probably starting at 2oz:6oz and working from there.

I would go buy a avent bottle. Closet thing to a breast. Then have someone else feed her breast milk in it. Do not even be close enough for your child to see you. It may take a few tries. But after your child does get it slowly start mixing breast milk with formula, until it is fully formula. If you are aggressive about it you can have it done in about a week. Just start with one feeding a day or even half of a feeding. Next week move to 2 and so on . . . worked very well for my 2 children, they were weaned at 8 months and once they tasted Similac Soy, they wanted not too much else to do with the boobs...

Why do you want to?

If he/she hasn't taken anything but breast, it'll be hard, probably not going to take a bottle now, try a sippy.

Breast milk is still a very important part of nutrition, even beyond a year!

I'm sorry I don't have a lot of advice but I do know what once a child begins bottle feeding it's easier for them so they actually start to prefer it over being breast fed.
