Do you have a funny breastfeeding story?

or something your older kids have said thats funny?

when my 1 week old baby cries my 4 and 6 year old tell me "the baby needs to drink my booby" lol!

kids say the funniest things!

My little brother in law when he was 4 learnt about cows and when you milk them you get milk. So on his farm when they were out of milk for coffee they would go and milk the cow.

When my best friend was breastfeeding her daughter, He understood that her baby was getting milk.

I went to make a coffee for us and we had ran out of milk and my Lil bro said "it's okay, we can just milk Jess for milk!"

my story is funny but im sure alot of breastfeeding mothers can relate because all modesty is out the window. i went to visit my dad in the hospital and i was feeding my son when the nurse came in...she was discussing my dad getting discharged,,,,i then added in that the doctor was in and everything that the doctor said.....i realized later that the whole time i was talking to her i had my boob exposed to her because the baby had stopped feeding.....im sure as a nurse she had seen many boobs before but i think i probably embarrased everyone else in the room.

my newborn 2 week old daughter ever since I brought her home does this really funny msart and cute thing when she's hungry and wants my milk---she puts her fist to her mouth then to her throat in a repeated motion and her mouth open and nodding her head back and forth, it's so funny. also sometimes when I breastfeed her she suddenly gets this strange grin on her face and looks like she's laughing. also when I'm holding her she'll put her hands to my breasts and start scratching them and also rub her mouth against them even when she's not hungry lol.

We call nursing "num-nums", and have been encouraging the toddler to express his desire to nurse by say "num-nums" and lightly patting my chest. Well, my 4 year old son has caught on and whenever he is being "bothered" by the baby or wants to play by himself, he will come over to me and call to the toddler, "Num-nums" and start patting my chest, trying to get his attention to nursing so he will be left in peace. LoL!

LOL gtozzyswife - "the whole time i was talking to her i had my boob exposed to her because the baby had stopped feeding"

i did the same thing while shopping for shoes once. dd was nursing away while hubby and i were looking around. i was carrying dd in a sling, nursing. someone would pass by every once in a while, then hurry along...then hubby looked at me and said "um... your hanging out" and there my boob was in all it's glory. dd fast asleep, had let go.

this one isn't abreastfeeding story as i was still preggerz....but hubby and stopped by walmart b4 going to the beach. i had on one of those dresses that can be worn 10 different ways. the bikin top i had on underneath was irritating me, so i took it off and planned on getting a new top while there. as we walked in, the a/c blew the wrap dress open to reveal my entire boob.

I heard a funny story once about a breastfeeding mom who was at the Supermarket when a stranger (a man) approached her and said "Excuse me mam, your milk is leaking." She was horrified and look down at her breasts but saw nothing and then she realized that her gallon of milk (cow) was actually leaking. LOL!

The night we brought our twins home from the hospital there was a huge thunder and lightning storm. I was sitting on the couching nursing one of the babies and my partner was holding the other. There was a simulotaneous crack of thunder and bolt of lightning and instantly all of our electricity went out. I sat on the couch with the baby nursing and just laughed.....my partner had to make her way through the apartment carrying the other baby to find our flashlight.

Oh, there are so many!!! :) My daughter is 21 months and she can self-wean. It seems like every day she does something new and silly with my boobs! She likes to hold her stuffed animals and dolls to my breasts so they get milk too. It's hilarious!! Today was especially funny to me because one of the stuffed animals she used was a COW! LOL
She also pats them gently when she wants to nurse, which I love. I tried to get her to say "milk" but she liked Daddy saying "boobies" so she went with that instead! Oh well.
Oh, and she's seen me hand express, so every so often she uses both hands on a breast and tries to make milk come out!! Ha ha!!

I have a friend whose sister was nursing at age 2, and in the middle of mass turned to her mom and hollered "Nurse me NOW!!!!!" LOL!!!!!!!!!

Edit: Ha ha Texan princess I've done that so many times too!!! :)

My nine year old was asking about how babies were fed just tonight and he wanted to know how the extension cord thing worked. I wondered if he meant the tubing on my pump, but no - he meant the umbilical cord.

And once coming through security at the airport, they were making passengers turn on all electronic devices they were carrying through. you know, camera, laptop. When I was asked about my breastpump, he asked "what is it" and "how does it work"? I replied "did you want me to demonstrate"?

It didn't make me feel safer though when he waved me through, without checking it. It seemed as though it embarrassed him and he made an exception.

I don't know if it's funny or sad but each time I breastfeed I'll catch myself 'feeling myself up' during the day to see if I'm 'full'- you know, just grab a handful to see if I'm ready to pop. Anywhoooo, I do this so subconsciously that I'll suddenly realize that I'm standing in the aisle at Target or the mall and feeling myself up!!! Fine at home in privacy but I'm not sure that it looks all that normal in public!!!

Funny question!!
