I'm still breastfeeding my 15 month old. Any ideas on other comfort measures I can teach him besides the boob?

I'm a busy mom, this is my last child and my hubby is OK with breastfeeding right now (claims that I'm going to "milk it for all it's worth!"). But if I'm around my son, he's whining for me, following me around the house and wants me and no one else. I think this is due to owning the boobs. I need ideas that might help him comfort himself. He's never been attached to his fingers, thumb, plush toys or a blanket (like my other kids...) he just wants to nurse all the time instead. I'm need some ideas - quick!

yep he's hit the phase!

lol
they all seem to go through it about now
when they are learning a lot of new things at once they want constant reassurance, and its not just breastfed babys, all kids this age cling to something be it pacifier or bottle or lovey

don't worry It does pass all on its own as they become more sure of themselves

u sound like my sister and her boy he would have to nurse to go to sleep. the only way he would and he would go after my sister all the time when he just ate too. she had to do him cold turkey. i would try a passy. my son would use me at a passy when i first had him. i found one that looks like the nipple on your breast so as soon as we used them he loved them till about a month ago now we are on the binkys i would just play around with them. u might want to give him one and just hold him like u would when u nurse him. so he links that to nursing. and he learns that that can too sooth him too. my son love his bottle that is the only u can get him to sleep most of the time. i am trying to get him off of it but he is doing ok for the most part. well hope i helped hang in there and good job on the 15 months i made it seven months i didnt drink enough water. oh u could do what i did. slowly stop drinking water to where your body cant make enough milk for him that is how it happened with my son then one night i gave him formaul and he took it like three different times then slept like nine hours. it was great. well good luck and god bless
