How to wean my baby from breastfeeding to bottle? |
i had tried many times to wean my 6 months old daughter frm breast to bottle feed but no success.she doesnt feed on bottle even though i did not give her my breast for all day.i know shes starve already but still refusing the bottle.so i end up breastfeeding her again.i dnt understand cuz everytime i give a bottle of water shes taking it.but if milk on bottle shes not.i tried many types of formula.i even pump my milk and give to her but still shes refusing on bottle. It's the one on one contact that she misses. The warmth and love that she feels. Try slipping a bottle of breast milk in while nursing still keeping her in close contact with you. You are probably just going to have to wait until she is ready to wean. Does she take a binki? My daughter uses a bottle with the same shaped nipple. But only accepts 2-3 oz at a time, at 10 months old. She may never take a bottle. try a sippy cup. maybe the nipple is not right. have you talked to your dr or a local WIC office? |
