Breastfeeding and periods?

I haven't had a period for the last year and half .. because of pregnancy and then breastfeeding for 10 months. I have quit feeding for 3 weeks now and still no period.. is this still normal? Also I am still leaking every once in awhile.. I thought my milk would have dried up by now? I was going to and probably still will call the doctor but I wondered if this had happened to anyone else? It might just take longer then I had thought??

I'd say wait at least another month before you freak out about the period. As for leaking, everytime you squeeze your breast to check, you stimulate it to make more. leave it alone and it will stop, but it might take a as long as a month.
