I am 4wks postpartum. I haven't stopped bleeding and now cramp like pms. Is this normal? I'm not breastfeeding No this is not normal you need to see a doc and get this checked out. Since you mentioned cramping I would almost wonder if you shouldn't call urgent care or ER and ask if they think you should be seen today or if it's ok to wait till morning and then see your doc. yes. it can take up to 6 weeks to stop bleeding after having a baby. I bled the full 6 weeks, up until my checkup! Annoying, but completely normal. If you're concerned, talk with your OB. Yes. I have three kids and it took 6-8 weeks to stop bleeding. To be on the safe side I would still call and ask you dr. It's normal !!! It sucks ! Breastfeeding would have helped. it sounds normal to me i had 3 kids and 2 out of the three i never stopped bleeding for 8 weeks the third only took 4 weeks because i breast feed Yes your body is just trying to normalize itself, so dont worry about the bleeding, but try to take your leftover prenatal pills or vitamins to keep your body nourished because its losing nutrients as you bleed. The cramps is your uterus contracting back to its regular size. It hurts like hell. |
