Does it bother you to see a woman breastfeeding in public? |
Assuming it is done discreetly and that no body parts are seen, would it bother you to see a woman nursing a baby in some public place, like a restaurant or a waiting room? I ask because I have breastfed 3 children, and at some point with all of them I have been faced with the dilemma of feeding the child in public or going to sit in some smelly bathroom to avoid offending anyone. I know I have the "right" to breastfeed wherever I want to, but I still worry about making other people feel uncomfortable. I breastfed both of my sons, there were times that I had to out in public, however even though it was my "right" I wasn't gonna shove that fact in other's faces. I would find a quiet spot out of the way and would use a blanket to cover up with. I know it is a natural way to feed our children, but I still didn't want to expose my skin in public. LOL I found the shoe department at Wal-Mart worked just fine. I agree that bathrooms are pretty yucky. I had never run across someone who was outright mean and nasty about it, I wouldn't stop because of them, but I would probably cry due to all the raging hormones! LOL Good luck and Congrats! no not when theres a blanket no, in fact, I wish I could pull up a chair and watch. I'd pay. no, it does not bother me. i have been to hedonism so nudeness does not bother me. its her breasts not mine being exposed. If your baby is hungry and you have the means of feeding that baby, I don't see anything wrong with it. It's the most natural thing in the world. Who cares if some people feel uncomfortable, that's their problem not yours. It's kinda gross to be honest and no one wants to see that.....except pervs.....there is no problem with going in the bathroom though......or if you know you are going out then you could pump ahead of time..... If it's done discreetly it doesn't bother me. If it's not done discreetly I have to wonder what the woman it thinking. I did not breast feed my children and I don't feel as though I missed out on anything. I'm not "knocking" breast feeding, it just was not something I wanted to do. |
