Religious view on Breastfeeding? |
What is your view on breastfeeding? Does Religion play into your views as to the why's or why nots? Hindu religion supports breast feeding."Sthanya Paanam"=breast feeding is considered as a very sacred duty of a mother, because at birth a child can thrive and be healthy only on breast feeding I think people shouldnt do it in public view (no cover), no religion involved. My milk never came in. So it was moot for me LOL What?? Who cares about what religion thinks about breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is the normal and natural way for a mother to feed their baby. Animal or otherwise. Religion has no place in this issue. Nursing is a natural thing. I can't see any religion being opposed to doing it. Some might oppose doing it in public. no religious views it is natural , beautiful , and the best start to a babys life.... I dont understand why there should be any views on it at all I did breast feed, but I did it in the privacy of my child's room. My husband never even seen me feeding them. I may be just a little too modest. But, doing it in public was something I would never have done. I don't think religion had a part in my decision. It was just me. You can always freeze the stuff and then put it in a bottle when you are ready to feed. You don't have to whip your stuff out in public making the whole world uncomfortable. |
