How soon after you stop breastfeeding should you expect your period? |
How soon after you stop breastfeeding should you expect your period? My friend didn't get her period for 6 months after she stopped breastfeeding. But I also believe everyone is different. I would just be happy that it's not coming personally. i really think it's different for every woman. in my case when i started cutting back on nursing in preparation for weening my son, i started spot bleeding.... so you could start menstrating before you completely stop nursing, or it might be a month or 3 after you stop *shrugs* sorry i'm not much help. You still get your period while breastfeeding. I did at least. I don't understand the question. If you are exclusively breastfeeding, it can vary, mine was about 8-9 months, it was the same for all four pregnacies. My niece has 2 children and she got hers at about 1 year both times. Mother of four It's different for everyone. I got my period only 3 months after giving birth and I was exclusively breast feeding at the time. i introduced my son to solids at 6 months and continued to breastfeed untill 26/27 months. i got my first period when he was nine months although they could be quite iregular at first. |
