Which breastfeeding pump would be better and less painful manual or electric pump? |
Which brand would you recommended? The electric ones are the best. If you are going to be seriously pumping, you can't do it with a manual one. Only get the manual one if you plan to pump about once a week, but not more often. For daily pumping, you need an electric one. There are many options out there, and they are all equally painful and equally effective. I used a medella brand at home, which is a hospital grade pump. You can buy it or rent it at any medical supply store. I also used the pump-and-go at work, which didn't get as much milk out of me, but was convenient for once a day use. Good luck! Source(s): Exclusively breastfed baby #1 for 9 months with a pump, after going back to work. I was unable to get any to work without causing me pain, but I do believe it is the electric ones are best. I had to use electric, I had no energy after I had the baby to manual pump myself. It pumps faster and I was able to fill up containers of milk and store them in the freezer. Manual takes for ever. I have used both and I much prefer the double electric pump...it works so much quicker and easier..you just sit back, relax and let the pump do all the work!!! WIth the manual your hand can get tired very very quickly! I used and will use again a medela pump in style breast pump mom of 2 boys pregnant w a girl Pumping was too painful for me, I hand expressed milk with all my pregnancies, that way I was in control and didn't hurt my nipples or breasts. And I saved myself several hundred dollars in the process! :) |
