How do i help my best friend if she has cervical cancer? |
my friend just went to the gyno for a check up... the test came back and said that she either has an infection or that she has cancer....so she went to check that out and now the doctor is saying that she has pre cancer or cancer..... so she is going to get the doctor again on monday to find out for sure.. what would i say or do for my friend??? how could i help her with this?? she is like a sister to me???? I went through this same situation a few years ago. Just support her and be there for her to talk to if she needs you. There are several options for treating cervical cancer. Cervical cancer has the highest survival rate out there. Just be there for her, its all you can do. If the news is bad, tolerate her emotion it could be tears one minute, anger the next, know when to leave her be and know when, despite what she says, to drag her kicking and screaming through the day.
