Need help!!! Cervical cancer needle =[? |
Im in high school and my whole school( well just the girls) got this permission note to give to our parents to sign them and say we have permission to get this new vaccination going around for teenages to prevent them from getting cervical cancer and the nurses who do the needles come to the schools and do the vaccinations there.. anyway when it was my turn the lady asked if i was pregnant, and i think i might be 2 months pregnant but i didnt want to say yes because i was ashamed so i said no, what will happen if i am pregnant, cause i got the vaccination and ur not meant to if your pregnant..will i get sick? thanks everyone :) Firstly find out if you are pregnant! you made a very bad choice, you may harm the baby or even kill it.... or make yourself very sick.. you need to tell you parents or doctor right away asap Okay you need to go straight to the docs and told him what you have done get a proper pregnancy test done. When this has been done if you are pregnant you will then need to look at your options which I don't want to go into on this site. I would say that you have behaved very immaturely and maybe you are not old enough or ready to become a mother. Pregnant women should not get the vaccine. The vaccine appears to be safe for both the mother and the unborn baby, but it is still being studied. Receiving H.P.V. vaccine when pregnant is not a reason to consider terminating the pregnancy. Women who are breast feeding may safely get the vaccine.<--Got that info from searching the Internet. It's great to get that Vaccine however, you should of for sure told the Nurse you could be pregnant!! What were you thinking? Oh well I pray you are not #1 you are too young and #2 I wouldn't want that Vaccine to hurt your baby. Lots of Luck i would call the doctor right away! I take it you were given Gardasil? Merck's (the maker of Gardasil) clinical trials showed no adverse effects on pregnant women or their fetuses, well, no more than you would normally see in the general population. The vaccine is given in three injections over six months, I recommend you disclose your pregnancy (if that is the case) before the next injection. I know I stated there were no adverse effects, but that is all immediate and short-term, long-term effects for fetuses (i.e. children) are not available because this is a fairly new drug. Merck also stopped administering the vaccine to pregnant women during their clinical trials. In case you are pregnant, this is directly from the source I used below: "Patients and health care providers are encouraged to report any exposure to GARDASIL during pregnancy by calling (800) 986-8999." Good luck with everything. |
