Cervical cancer, what are the other solutions if you don't have it? |
i had a pap smear and results came back adnormal and today i was tested with a colposcopy and waiting for futher results.. does that mean that i have cervical cancer? or might or what if i dont or what the hell does t mean i just turned 19 yesterday and really freaking out... and im scared.. help..plz.. thanks I just went through this last summer. It's probably nothing--nothing can be done until the colposcopy comes back. If it comes back with abnormal cells, there are ways to remove them, but that doesn't mean it's cancer. Be glad you got it checked when you did--it could have been much worse. It's scary, but you are not alone! i wanna be 1 less 1 less, get a cervical cancer shot, it is probably just an abnormal growth, but that could be caused by hpv as well and later turn into cervical cancer if left untreated. your doctor will do a follow up appointment for the abnormal cells, just make sure you follow their direction. Abnormal cells can be from birth control or any inflammation of the cervix, not just cancer. Relax and wait for the colposcopy results. I know it's tough. Ive had exactly same thing happen, had a pap test that came back abnormal, had another and they found it was HPV. You wil need follow up pap smears just to check its progress, but it usually clears up with in a year, but if you have a low immune system it could turn to cervical cancer but the chances are very small that it will. Just check up with the follow up pap smears and Im sure things will work out. |
