Serious Question? Cervical Cancer?

im 13 and never got the shot Gardisil. Anyway.. theres this red bump on the side of my vayy jayy jay. its like the size of a dime and it has a wierd patch of skin on it. I have never had sex.. And i dont know what this is. What is it?? Is it cervical Cancer?

I really am afraid if i have cancer. I have no mom.. just brothers and dad. This is embarrasing!

ok well it could either be a heat bump, which is harmless, some kind of allergic reaction (i had these on my stomach from tide laundry detergent lol) or it could be dry skin. BUT if there is anything coming out of it or it doesnt go away in a few days, you need to get it checked out. you dont have to have sex for something to happen down there, and it probably isnt cervical cancer, if you look for some pictures online, you can see your cervix is way inside of you, which doesnt mean its not something serious. dont be afraid to talk to your dad, and if you just cant talk to him, you can always go to the school nurse or a female teacher, a neighbor, a friend, or an aunt you are comfortable with.
being 13 is scary, you're never sure whats going on with your body. when i was 13 i thought i had breast cancer, turns out it was just a bump (from growing i was told, but it wasnt cancer lol)
but anyways i hope i helped a bit.

I'm not a doctor but it would not be cervical cancer. The cervix is located inside at the end of the vaginal canal ... the "bumpy thing" your finger can feel if you push it in way back ( the "gateway" to the womb). Because it's inside, and your description of the 'weird patch of skin' and the redness, that means your bump is on the outside where you can see it, and therefore it's not the cervix.

The best way to overcome a natural fear of cancer is to have regular tests (called a "pap smear", recommended to have every two years), once you become sexually active. By doing this, they can tell if there are changes, and treat them early if needed. So don't worry about that yet, unless you have been active. In regards to the vaccine shot, is there a school nurse or counselor you could privately talk to regarding getting this, if you missed out?

You do however need to find out what is causing this, and get it treated.

It could maybe be a condition many women get, commonly called "thrush", a yeast infection, which causes a thick white discharge from the vagina (kinda like cottage cheese), itching, and sometimes red bumps. But it's important to also know that there are other conditions this bump could be linked to, which can occur even without "going all the way" and you should find yourself a female doctor (or the school nurse). Someone you feel comfortable to talk to about it.

Don't be embaressed, though that's normal ... it's a natural part of your body ... and doctors are there to help young women and girls learn about themselves, and to arm you with information to help you make good decisions about your body :)

Not likely.

Cervical cancerous leisions will appear only on the cervix. And for someone age 13 who's never had sex (assuming that includes no sexual contact at all), it is virtually impossible to contract any agent that can lead to cervical cancer.

If you are concerned, you should have the doctor look at it.

I would not recommend you get Gardasil. If you are contemplating, I would tell you to research everything you can about it before deciding.

I don't think its cervical cancer. If it was there would be abnormal cells on your cervix, which are deep in your vagina. I=You do need to go to the doctor though. Do you make your own appointments? If not, and you don't have any other older females to get you to the doc then you HAVE to tell your dad that you need to see a doc. Even if you don't want to tell him why. Tell him your too embarrassed. You could try telling a school nurse, maybe she will help you. Good luck.

Cervical cancer affects the neck of you womb which is high up inside you. It sounds as if you could just have a wart. Go to see the nurse at your local doctors and she'll be able to help you.

Heat rash? Yeast infection? Dry skin?
Do you have a school nurse you could go to?
