What are the systems of cervical and ovarian cancer?

There isn鈥檛 a unique system for each cancer. Most of them pretty much work the same way. Cells grow out of control and form a tumor. If left untreated the tumor can grow and invade other structures by direct extension and/or cells can break off and spread to other parts of the body through the lymphatic system or the bloodstream. This causes the body not to work properly until it shuts down and you die.

I have cervical cancer and about to start treatment. My symptoms were irregular bleeding between periods and bleeding after sex. I am 36.

The cervix is part of a woman's reproductive system. Doctors cannot explain why some women develop cervical cancer while others do not. What we do know is that there are risk factors which make some women more vulnerable, to develop cervical cancer, than others.
