How does Gardasil work to prevent cervical cancer in women? & also....?

Certain types of the HPV result in an increased risk of cervical cancer. Thus, vaccination works to mitigate this threat. Cervical cancer incidence drops, although it is not eliminated since there are other risk factors.

The HPV vaccine has not been extensively tested in men, and is not approved by the FDA for such a purpose. Currently there are ongoing trials to demonstrate safety and efficacy in men.

They say that cervical cancer is caused by a virus, so the gardasil is a vaccine against the virus (just like the chicken pox vaccine or whatever).
Males play a role in it just like any STD, if they have the virus they'll give it to you.
