My mum wants me to have the cervical cancer jab but you can have it if you arent "sexualy active" yet

does that just mean sex, or does it include other things? as i have a boyfriend and i havent had sex with him but have been "exprimenting" if you get what i mean. Thanks for the help x

you should get it. you can get it before oyu become sexually active so that you reduce the chance of ever getting it. You could also have it AFTER you become sexually active, but you need to be tested for HPV first.

I think you may have meant to say you can't have the shot if you already ARE sexually active...I wouldn't get it either way, it's not proven to do anything yet, and it has caused serious complications with some people. Make sure you ALWAYS wear a condom though, and practice safe sex.

You can get it if you are sexually active as well. It doesnt matter. I am married and got the shots. They just mean it will only be effective to prevent future HPV so if you already have HPV you can still get cervical cancer. It really doesnt matter. I recommend you get it.

It's better to have it before you're sexually active, but you can still get it afterward. I'm married and sexually active, and my doctor gave it to me anyway.

my mom said she didnt want me to get it because it was a new study and she didnt know what could happen to me and my sister...just be safe it whatever activities that you do

Show your mom this website, read it yourself, and do not get this vaccine!

kissing a boy
intercorse
oral sex
