Cervical Cancer/Colposcopy/Biospy is it painful.?

Is it painful when you have a Colposcopy/Biospy done? Im scared, they told me I need to have that done. I dont know what to do. Since they tell me I'm at risk to having Cervical Cancer.

Since you are at risk, it is definitely a good idea to get it done. I had a biopsy done and it was uncomfortable but they do numb the area before hand if they have to take a lot of samples (I have to have 15 done and it wasn't plesant).
Don't be scared if you can help it. It's necessary to have done if you're at risk so you know now if you do have cancer and how to treat it before it spreads.
If you wait to have it done, it could be very serious and life threatening. Take care of it before it gets to that point.
I was lucky. I didn't have to have chemo or radiation. We caught it before it spread thanks to the biopsy.
Very best of luck to you.

No, it isn't. I have had two. Most gyn's recommend that you take Tylenol, or another brand of pain reliever 1/2 hour prior to your procedure.

Trust me. It isn't worth getting worked up over. I did my first time, and felt foolish afterwards.
