Is this Cervical Cancer?

Recently ive been bleeding between periods
and having pain during intercourse
been looking at what the symptoms could be on the internet, is this Cervical Cancer? does anyone else have the same problem? any help appricated, thankyou X Siobhan

i forgot to mension, i went to the doctors and asked for a screening but they said they cant give it to me untill im 25! im only 16.. but have been having sex so im at higher risk right?

Go to the doctor as soon as you can. Dont listen to anything said on here

You really, really should go to a gynecologist, or just a doctor. It isn't worth the risk, good luck. Better to be safe then sorry!

Edit: Go to a new doctor, in the UK you don't get called up until you are 25 BUT if you want one, then you CAN have a smear test. Its advised you have one a year after being sexually active also. Its highly unlikely at 16 you have cervicle cancer, but since you are sexually active you should be getting tests.

"Why are women under 25 and women over 65 not invited?
Cervical cancer is rare in women under 20. Teenagers' bodies, particularly the cervix, are still developing, which means young women may get an abnormal result when there is nothing wrong. This could lead to unnecessary treatment so screening young women might do more harm than good.

Under the age of 25 years, invasive cancer is extremely rare, but changes in the cervix are common. Although lesions treated in very young women may prevent cancers from developing many years later, the evidence1 suggests that screening could start at age 25. Lesions that are destined to progress will still be screen-detectable and those that would regress will no longer be a source of anxiety. Younger women will not have to undergo unnecessary investigations and treatments.

Any woman under 25 who is concerned about her risk of developing cervical cancer or her sexual health generally, should contact her GP or Genito-Urinary Medicine (GUM) clinic.

Women aged 65 and over who have had three consecutive negative results are taken out of the call recall system. The natural history and progression of cervical cancer means it is highly unlikely that such women will go on to develop the disease. Women aged 65 and over who have never had a test are entitled to one."

Second edit: No they would not. I think you should ask to see a different doctor. How long have you been having sex for? Do you have any family planning clinics around where you live?

9 timess out of ten it is. i have HPV the virus that cause this cancer in im only 16. if u have a white discharge in it turns brown and u have an oder u need to get an examminetion. i live in GA in they gave me one.

It could be a number of things, don't get yourself in a panic but do get yourself seen by your GP as soon as possible.

Good luck.
