Cervical cancer question. pre cancerous cells? |
i have pre cancerous cells on my cervix i have had for about 10 years or so. i go to the doctor every 4-6 months to be checked. i have had 6 colposcopies and multiple biopsies every time he does a colposcopy but evertime i get my test results, he just says to come back in 4-6 months and i have to go through it again unless i want to get a hysterectomy. is this normal? he says freezing them is a waste of time because 80% of the time it comes back and that i have to wait until it turns into cancer before we can do anything. is that normal? I had the same until last year I finaly had a hysterectomy. I was ready for it though .I have 4 kids. I want to let you know , it is normal but you could have the hysterectomy and be worry free. If you already have kids it may be time to consider it. Freezing also leaves a nasty odor because the cells do thaw out and cause drainage. Good Luck Consider yourself one of the lucky ones. |
