True or False? If you had sex the cervical cancer shot will not work? |
I got the first one about 2 months ago so i have to go get the 2nd 1 soon but i completely forgot about the other two and had sex i just want to know if the shot will still work or if i'm wasting my time now? False, The shot will still work if you are sexually active. If you already have HPV it won't. Definitely get your other shots. Having sex does not cause the shot to become invalid. The shot is a vaccine to prevent cervical cancer and HPV. The shot still does work if you have sex in between. But definitely get the other two shots. A question for your doctor, I'm afraid. The theory is that the vaccine only protects you if you haven't already been exposed to the virus. If you've had sex, its possible you've been exposed. No you should still get the other shot... Just make sure your using protection! false |
