I have cervical cancer but could I still get pregnant? |
Ok, I know that everyone asks could I be pregnant. But, I really don't know if it's possible. I have cervical cancer, I found out after my daughter was born. I always use a condom when me and my husband have sex and we check to make sure they don't break or anything. I haven't started treatment yet because after i stopped breast feeding my daughter I got my period for 3 months straight. And they couldn't do anything until it stopped. They tried BC and hormones and nothing worked to stop it. It finally stopped a few weeks ago and now I am having symptoms like i could be pregnant. But I have no idea when my period will come. So i guess what I am asking is When after you stopped breast-feeding and got your period how long before you got it again? I have been lightly spotting but I'm not sure. Nausea at smells. My dr says that he wants to do a procedure on me but if I am pregnant it will kill the baby. My dr wont do a blood test to check because i am very anemic and I am not sure it a normal test would work. i have it to. they said they cant do treatment on me until after i have the baby. they scolded me for becoming pregnant because i found out i was pregnant a week before my surgery. I'd take an HPT first and see what that says and then talk seriously to your doctor about your concerns about your health and possibly being pregnant. Just explain that while you know you need the procedure you are afraid you are pregnant and that it will harm or kill the baby. I have a friend who had cervical cancer and once they started the treatment and finished it she went on to have a successful pregnancy. However, I'm not sure if you can get pregnant while you still have untreated cervical cancer. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. A regular home pregnancy test should be able to tell you if you're pregnant. The urine isn't effected by birth control, but it could be effected by the hormones you're taking. Personally, I'd ask your doctor to get an ultrasound done. |
