Cervical cancer? |
I've been worried that there may be something seriously wrong with me for almost a year now. I know i should get a pap test done to make sure i dont have cervical cancer but I just turned 18 and I've never had a pap before and i'm afraid to get it done. Because of the fact that i am a virgin im afraid that it would hurt? Does it?I don't know how to explain all this to my doctor. I'm very concerned about my health and I just want to know that I'm healthy and i don't have any sort of fatal disease or illness. I have been having this brownish yellowish foul smelling discharge for a while now. This scares me. This is one of the reasons why im afraid to get the pap done. What does it mean? What should I do? A pap smear is nothing to be afraid of. Be sure and tell the doctor that this is your first time and they should be understanding. It doesn't hurt just a little pinch feeling and it's over. You may just have a yeast or other infection so it's good to get it checked out. Good luck! usually a woman have to start going for pap smears after 21 or started to have sex(whichever comes first) but if you have this discharge, you definetely have some infection of some kind- go to the dr. It might be uncomfortable, but i do not think this discharge is any much more comfortable.? So, get yourself together and go. You owe it to yourself. It's really not that bad.. it doesn't hurt and you are going to have to do it sooner or later. Paps are a must for ALL women. Better safe than sorry. I doubt that it will break your hymen (cherry) for the doctor to do a pap. Ask them before hand.. tell them it is your first time and to tell you what they do.. but please go through with it. are you more afraid of a PAP test than you are of dying??????? You should see a doctor,a nd hope you havent waited too long...Cervical cancer is one of the most curable cancers there is when treated early...They simply remove the cervix..I know what Im talking about, because I had it..Now you are very young, and you should certainly see a doctor about this. Even if its not cancer, you may have some sort of infection that could cause scarring and would make it almost impossible for you to have children...Now, get yourself up and get to a doctor! |
