Cervical cancer?

I had a abnormal pap test that showed moderate dysplasia with high risk hpv i had cryosurgery but it did not get all the cells I was scheduled for leep surgery but ended up pregnant my last 3 pap test after my baby were normal how likely is it that I get the abnormal cells back?

SPEAK THOSE THINGS THAT ARE NOT AS THOUGH THEY WERE!!! Let's start there! Those cells are not coming back!!!

It is truly a blessing that the dysplasia resolved itself. I have been told that HPV can and will resolve itself after a period of time. You are very fortunate. It is also possible that you will never have any problem with this again. However reality says that once you are affected with HPV you have it.

Keep getting your PAPs. Don't slack off or get complacent. Enjoy your baby and be happy!

Again, SPEAK THOSE THINGS THAT ARE NOT AS THOSE THEY WERE!!! Right now...IT IS!!!! You are FREE OF ALL THE CELLS!!! THEY ARE NOT COMING BACK!!!
I had this same thing in 1996, after my first baby. They were able to "freeze" it out of me. I had paps twice a year every year after that......it came back in the summer of this year. I had the leep done in July, and my pap in October was clear. So, yes it CAN come back-but it really is a case-by-case basis. I know that's not really a definite answer, sorry.

Also, keep getting your paps! I worked for a doctor who saw a patient in the hospital that was only in her 20's. She didn't get a pap since her teens and when she started having horrible sickness, they found that this highly curable disease had spread throughout her entire body....she died shortly after. It is SOOOO important for your (and your family's) sake to get checked as often as your doctor recommends! DO NOT WAIT FOR IT TO GO AWAY ON IT'S OWN if you do get it again!
My life.
This is the perfect example of how HPV goes away on its own, but it will always be in your system.

Its a good thing that you have an eye on it and since you have been through it before, like me, you know that you just have to keep an eye on it and wait for it to go away again.

Good Luck
I had the same problem. It all started in 2001, I had to keep getting paps like 4x per year, then I got pregnant and it went away but then it came back. I went thru the paps all over again and the freezing, at this time I had my tubes tied and I knew for sure I didnt want anymore kids. So I asked my dr if she would consider giving me a hysterectomy,of course after doing research on it and she said no. But I felt like nothing was working so I got a second opinion and 2 months later I had the hysterectomy but I still have my ovaries so dont have to worry about taking hormone replacement pills. Now they have a shot that the dr can give you to make them go away, I am not sure how it works, I would ask the dr or do a search on the net for cervix shot or hpv shot. Good Luck!!
