Can cervical cancer be cured ?

Cervical cancer can be completely cured , if detected early. It is eminently detectable at an early stage as it can be seen with the use of vaginal speculum. It can be detected even in its pre-invasive stage by taking and studying a PAP smear.

Early detection is key, some types are more resistant to treatment than others but it is often very curable. But just like any cancer led to advance and spread, your chance of cure goes down. A friend of a friend is currently dying of cervical cancer because she did not go in for pap tests, by the time they caught it, it was very advanced had spread to the uterus, bladder, abdomen. I had a 2 times cervical cancer. The first one was 1997 and the second one was 2000. I had a huge surgeries but I'm still in life. The good things was they find out and taking care on it quickly. That's good. Today they got the new vaccines for the young girls call HPV and I guess one day nobody has a cervical cancer. I was patient from the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston/TX. My doctors was a great.
