Hpv and cervical cancer? |
I just recently got diagnosed with HPV and cervical dysplasia I am 21 years old. My entier life i have been getting papsmears but unfortunately I have mild-moderate cervical dysplasia and in 2 weeks i am getting lasar surgery from personal experience has anyone had this done or have a story like mine? i need some good news im afraid i will get cervical cancer. is there a cure if cervical cancer is present in ur cervex? does the lasar work well ? what are the chances of getting the cervical pre cancer cells again? ill probaby get the vaccine after the surgery my doctor thinks it might get rid of the virus to because my immune system thinks its already gone. any thoughts? yes i got it. i was very scared because i was always so careful. but my doctor told me that 9 out of 10 people have it. because they have not been able to find hpv in pap smears until about a year ago. hpv is a curable disease. sometimes if your doctor feels you are healthy enough, that it will go away on its on. that happened to me. but i had to go to the gyno every 3 months for testing. my doctor told me that there was two other ways to get rid of it and that was lasor surgury and some type of other device that was a cone they inserted that burned the cells off. i have heard that they have a vaccine that works to boost your immune system. i think it would work. because again mine went away on it on, it took about 6 months. its a slow moving cell, so its takes a while to get rid of them. you will be fine and i wish you luck. i have hpv i need this to get out of me. did you go to get this out of you I have recently found I have the same thing. I have been doing research and the chances of it coming back are high, but the good news is if you keep going to the doctor as scheduled then it should not ever develop into cancer. As far as the vaccine, I have a different feeling it is not a cure for the disease it can prevent people from getting it but it can not cure what is in your body. Basically the laser will remove the problem area but it will not remove the virus that is in your blood stream. The thing to remember is that over 80% of Americans have this same problem and that you should not feel ashamed or embarrassed. |
