What is the signs of cervical cancer?

Just wondering,

Cervical cancer symptoms often go unnoticed because they mimic so many other ailments. Many women pass these symptoms off as PMS or ovulation pains. Many times, however, cervical cancer has no symptoms.

When symptoms are present, they usually do not appear until the cancer is more advanced. This does vary from woman to woman.

Cervical Cancer Symptoms:

1. Abnormal bleeding.Women with cervical cancer may experience abnormal vaginal bleeding. This can be heavy or light bleeding during the month.

2. Unusual heavy discharge. An increased vaginal discharge is also a symptom of cervical cancer. It may be foul smelling, watery, thick, or contain mucus.

3. Pelvic pain. Pelvic pain that is not related to the normal menstrual cycle can be a cervical cancer symptom. Many women describe them ranging from a dull ache to sharp pains that can last hours. It can be mild or severe.

4. Pain during urination.Bladder pain or pain during urination can be a symptom of advanced cervical cancer. This cervical cancer symptom usually occurs when cancer has spread to the bladder.

5. Bleeding between regular menstrual periods, after sexual intercourse, douching, or pelvic exam can be cervical cancer symptoms. This is due to the irritation of the cervix during these activities. While a healthy cervix may have a very small amount of bleeding, many conditions may cause bleeding after activities like sex.

Please keep in mind that these cervical cancer symptoms are also symptoms of many other illnesses. If you are experiencing these cervical cancer symptoms, please see a doctor. He or she will most likely do a pelvic exam and may order further tests. Source(s): Cervical Cancer Symptoms by Lisa Fayed
THERE ARE NO SIGNS, OR MAYBE SOME VERY HEAVY BLEEDING. I HAD IT IN 1981
If you are referring to the kind caused by HPV than you shouldnt be looking for any symtoms because theyre most often aren't any. You only know you have cervical by abnormal pap smear readings, and in rare cases pain.
ask your Dr. and always go for your regular pap....I do know its caused from a virus
Usually there aren't signs. This is why you should get a papsmear every year. The doctor scrapes the cervix, which is totally painless. They send the cells in for testing, and they will then tell you if the cells are normal, pre-cancerous or malignant.

It is so important to do this every year, along with a mammogram. I do mine around my birthday so I always remember to do it. Early diagnosis is the key to succesful treatment.

You are likely fine, go to the doctor, and when they do the pap and tell you it's all fine, then go every year, and you'll be confident in knowing that if something has started to become suspicious, you will have caught it very early and it should be easily treatable.
Typically, there are no symptoms. That is why cervical cancer screenings such as regular pap smears a crucial. Pap smears can detect cervical changes at the cellular level that ca lead to cervical cancer.
